  Position Type:   Special Education/Special Education Teacher Date Posted:   1/25/2019 Location:   Falmouth Middle School Closing Date:    02/08/2019   We are looking for a Special Education Teacher (Middle School) who is:   an outstanding classroom teacher who holds students to consistently high behavioral and academic expectations   a results-driven educator with experience in, and commitment to, the use of data analysis and assessments to drive instructional decisions and teacher accountability a graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program, with at least 2 years of middle school teaching experience   This teacher will: Monitor and develop Individual Educational Plans for students Supervise up to 5 educational technicians Create, monitor, and sustain a disciplined classroom culture of high academic and behavioral standards Implement a coherent, evidence-based curriculum Develop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues Successful candidate must have or be eligible for appropriate Maine teaching certification, as well as an approved Maine State CHRC and background check (provided by district).
