The High School Digital Learning Specialists guide and support the use of all of the district's technology resources both in and out of the classroom. Their primary role is to support secondary teachers in the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process by providing professional learning, modeling
-Collaborate with teachers to support their use of technology in
-Create learning resources for students and support teachers in producing their own resources - including websites, tutorials, and databases to support technology integration.
-Demonstrated ability to use technology for project-based learning activities.
-Provide technical support and report technical problems to district technicians.
-Massachusetts certification in Instructional Technology Specialist, K-12 (preferred).
-Previous secondary teaching experience (preferred).
-Demonstrated ability to utilize Socratic approach and to incorporate thinking skills in instruction.
-Demonstrated understanding of appropriate class management skills.
-Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.
